Tonight, 14th October, the fourth of Paul Murton’s six programme series, Grand Tours of the Scottish Islands – at 7.30pm – sees him on the Argyll Isles of Lismore, Colonsay and Oronsay.
Expect St Moluag, the medieval sculpture school on Oronsay, the black bee and the House of Lochar on Colonsay – and the ongoing situation with the Colonsay Hotel.
Will Cowal’s Walking Theatre Company feature? The company has worked for several years now with young people on Lismore – and with their counterparts at Powerview-Pine Falls in Manitoba in Canada
Alexander McCall Smith will definitely be talking about the Cairns of Coll, a chain of little islands north of Coll which he bought earlier this year.
Then at 8pm on STV, Chefs Paul Rankin and Nick Nairn’s Big Food Trip is on Islay, exploring the Ulster connection.
The scenery and the content in these programmes should be fascinating.
